We are raising funds to build a feminine production factory for girls and women in Jos, Nigeria to sell feminine products in their town.

by Female Dignity in Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom

Every month, girls and women in poorer areas across the globe face damaging social stigma during menstruation and miss up to 12 weeks a year from school or work.  Commercial feminine products are too expensive so grass, stones and papers are used to try and maintain dignity.  Many are ostracised to a hut outside of their home or just expelled and become vulnerable to sexual assault and rape.

Our vision is to help girls and women take back control of their lives and aspirations and remove the social stigma associated with menstruation.

Your giving is helping us provide feminine production factories in developing countries which is creating employment for girls and women, thus eradicating menstrual poverty.

We need to raise £3,000 to purchase biodegradable sanitary products to sell on Female Dignity's website. 30% from these sales will be donated to purchasing the much needed machinery for local girls and women to manufacture feminine products using raw materials from their local town and village.
