An introduction. My wife works as a carer for several people including Steven, a young energetic lad who just happens to have Cerebral Palsy. He attends a special needs school, where he uses an eye-tracking system to enable him to participate in classroom discussions, and to have fun with his friends. Whilst this is a great system, it does tend to break down fairly regularly, leading to inevitable frustration.
Steven has a similar challenge at home, where he has to cope without this equipment, making it a challenge for friends, family and carers to assess his needs, to know whether he's happy, hungry, thirsty, tired or just frustrated.
It would be great to provide Steven and his family with the equipment he deserves at home, which is why I would like to raise £6,500 to enable him to have a reliable communication device that Steven can use both at school, and, more importantly, at home.
Thanks for your help,
