We work with children from the Somali community to advance their academic education as well as enhance their cultural and social knowledge

by SCEA in Harrow, England, United Kingdom

We need your help to raise funds to offer children from low income families struggling to meet their everyday living costs a chance to explore London. The aim is to to expand their horizons beyond Harrow and experience some of the many cultural experiences and landmarks that London has to offer.

This will take the learning beyond the classroom and help improve the children and young peoples social skills, enrich their education through a greater understanding of the UK’s historical landmarks and ultimately strengthen their independence and self-confidence.

One of the key aims of working in this way is to develop cohesion and sense of belonging, making young people proud of where they live, raise aspirations and prevent them drifting in crime.

With your help we can turn our small fundraising target of £382 into £2,000 through match funding already agreed by both Harrow Council and Young Harrow Foundation.
