Flexible funding – this project will receive all pledges made by October 2nd 2019 at 12:22pm

I'm aiming to raise £100 to help to heat Orchard Barn CIC to increase the sustainability & craft workshop season into the winter months

I've been sculpting for over half my life and specialise in sculpting the human form. You can check out my work here: www.sculpturesbythea.com

I also really enjoy hosting workshops introducing others to the art of sculpting. You can see some of the workshops i've hosted here: https://sculpturesbythea.com/sculpture-workshops/

They include classes at Latitude, various fetes and at Orchard Barn.

A unique sculpture workshop:

To help support my mums Orchard Barn Crowdfunder, i am offering 4 places on a 'sculpting the human form for beginners'.

The workshop will take place on 9th May 2020 at Orchard Barn, Ringshall, Suffolk, between 2-5pm.

You will be introduced to figurative sculpting and leave with the sculpture that you create. The clay will be air drying so no need for firing.

The workshop is perfect for groups of friends or a family looking for an unusual creative activity to do together.

All funds will go towards Orchard Barn's crowdfunder to extend the workshops into the winter months.

What are you waiting for. Get booking!

Bramble Root Elementals

Once upon a time Orchard Barn was a vast bramble patch. To create access around the old orchard many gnarled and ancient roots were 'harvested'. Sarah has created sculptures with these mini field folk. Each one has it's own tale to tell - of decades spent mingling merrily with Ivy, Greengage and Apple trees. These bold Elementals are now ready and raring to spend time with you. Rest assured they probably won't take root again. Collection only.

A hand-made Elm mallet

Elm Mallet - great for woodworkers or campers! Orchard Barn used to be part of Nine Elms estate, so we are lucky to still have Elm trees in and around our old orchard. Not so nice when an Elm begins to die. We coppice the tree and give it a second life as a rafter in a building. Mallets are upcycled from the ends of rafters. They are traditionally made by volunteers, and finished with linseed oil. Come and select right weight/size handle for you
