We're raising money to put on an installation, music and dance partnership for POW Festival Thanet raising awareness about human trafficking

by The JAM Network UK in Margate, England, United Kingdom

The concept of freedom from trafficking is complex. Survivors are often faced with psychological, social, emotional and spiritual bonds that go beyond the physical release from slavery. In Latin, EXSOLVO means 'to loose'. EXSOLVO is a partnership between The Natashas Project, visual artist Ruth Fox and musician ANNA of The JAM Network UK. The dance installation, performed by Harriet Parker-Beldeau, uses embodied media through dance, visual and sound to explore the experience of enslavement and release in human trafficking, while raising awareness and educating a wider audience of this social issue, as a part of the POW Festival Thanet. The dance will be filmed for public view and the installation piece will be on display through the POW Festival March 7-11 at the Pie Factory Gallery, Margate. The live public performance will take place 6pm Thursday March 7th at Market Place, Margate. We need your help to ensure that this story can be told in our community.
