Different route to growth...
Unfortunately we didn't make it through to the semi-finals. It was a huge experience and I learnt a lot about taking a small rural innovation, which is tucked away in Somerset, into the world of big business. The hard part was that we didn't have a 'product' to take in to make our innovative approach tangible - I should have ignored the fact of not taking anyone under 18 in and have let the kids into the pitch to speak for themselves! We will, however, take all our lessons that we have learnt as a team and apply them as we go forward.
We will be based on our first school site in September, at Ansford Academy, and that is going to start a whole new adventure. We will be looking to start conversations with other schools, particularly in Bristol, and so anyone who knows inspiring and innovative Head Teachers we'd welcome an introduction.
We will be continuing to use the Voom platform over the next month to communicate more about our real world approach and will be opening up our crowdfunder again to help bring an educational boardgame to market that we have developed with children from Martock Primary School. So please continue to follow and share our unfolding story and help us spread the word and change the educational landscape together.
Onwards and upwards - despite the obvious blow!
