The world’s first ever entirely accessible Room Escape game.

by Rachel Barnett-Jones in Watford, England, United Kingdom

Room Escape Games are fun, immersive, puzzle solving, performative experiences. Participants are ‘locked’ in a room (often themed around a narrative), given a time-limit, and then have to solve a series of riddles and puzzles, linked to the narrative, in order to escape. Team work, communication, problem solving, and keeping calm under pressure are all essential for success.

However - we believe that there is a potential audience of those with differing needs that, whilst they would enjoy the central concept of an escape room, might struggle with certain key concepts such as time pressure, basic accessibility, and fixed puzzles which assume a level of ability (particularly around fine motor skills, visual and sound stimulus).

EVERYBODY OUT! will be entirely accessible and enjoyable to all and will be facilitated live to enable people of varied abilities to take part. The game will adopt a modular approach to create an immersive puzzle-solving, storytelling experience which can be enjoyed by people with additional support needs, as well as those living in residential and supported care.
