About this project:

We are raising money to be able to perform and survive the world's biggest Arts festival - The Edinburgh Fringe 2017. We are in need of replacing our equipment while we are there. In order to make it happen, we would like to introduce ourselves and ask for your support.

We are a multimedia dance company which is producing "Escape 2" - an aerial and pole dance performance. "Escape 2" builds on last year's successful aerial dance, "Escape" by Joanna Puchala and introduces pole dance choreography by Natalie Taylor. Aerial dance with silks is combined with pole dance to create a unique performance that breaks the convention of the pole dance stereotype and creates a new aspect of pole dance merged into aerial and contemporary dance. All that is connected to the subject of refugees.

"Escape 2" will be presented in Edinburgh at the Fringe Festival from 4th to 19th of August at Greenside at Nicolson Square.

LCP Dance Theatre draws awareness to human rights violations through dance and presents the emotional journey of a refugee through struggle, despair and the search for freedom. Fusing pole and silks performance with dance theatre, ” Escape 2″ explores the impact of a new environment on a refugee, who must face social, political and psychological challenges in order to integrate with a new society.

Quotes on ” Escape” Fringe 2016:

"Modern, moving, muscular & magnificent" *****Mumble Dance

“…More alive than before” ****CEEL.ORG.UK

“A compelling dance performance dealing with highly relevant issues” UK Theatre

“An interesting performance with a clear purpose” ***Everything Theatre

About the company

LCP is an award winning organization based in London with opened networks to various artists and institutions, which through different forms of art and other recourses manifests against violated rights.

The outcome of this online fund-raising campaign is to cover the equipment (stage pole) replacement and some of the expenses of food and accommodation (4 people) during Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2017 (2-21 Aug). We would appreciate if you could support us by any donation of 10, 20, 30£. We are very grateful to all volunteers who have been supporting our activities by providing us with their unique artistic, intellectual and administrative skills. Without you, this and other projects wouldn’t be possible to happen

We are very grateful to all volunteers who have been supporting our activities by providing us with their unique artistic, intellectual and administrative skills. Without you, this and other projects wouldn’t be possible to happen

We have no more time before the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August 2017, however, while we are there your donation will help us with the basic needs like mention above food, accommodation and very important - equipment replacement. So we could continue bringing up the issue of inequality of refugees through performing arts. This can only happen with your support. We would appreciate your help and involvement in the project.

Any help of spreading the word out through your social medias would be appreciated. Please add LCP Dane Theatre to your social medias (Twitter, FB, Instagram, YouTube).

If you or somebody you know could provide us with the free accommodation in Edinburgh in August (2-21st) it would be a huge support.

Thank You!

Looking forward to hearing from you.
