End of Year Exhibition - Unit J

End of Year Exhibition - Unit J

Please help us raise funds for the construction printing and framing of our end of year exhibition!

We did it!

On 4th Jun 2017 we successfully raised £800 of £600 target with 17 supporters in 21 days

New stretch target

This funding will be spent to produce a book and website documenting our work in addition to help fund additional extras such as lighting and the construction of shelving to display our models.

Unit J, based at the Oxford School of Architecture, is unlike most architectural design studios. We celebrate the craft of architecture and have spent the last year making and experimenting to create innovative and exciting forms. We would love it if you could donate to help us display our work.

The unit offers a series of exciting projects based in the city of Marseille on the French Riviera based around the theme of the live/work craftsperson. Proposals range from a nautical community of sailmakers, boat makers and breakers to an educational insitution teaching crafts to the city. We come together as steambenders, seamstresses and casters to present what hopes to be an exciting exhibition of our work.

However we need your help to make this happen! Please donate to help us construct, print, frame and display our work.

Unit J is an undergraduate design unit at the Oxford School of Architecture made up of 26 second and third year students, lead by Declan Molloy and Nina Shen-Poblete with help from Megan Groth (Technology) and Geoff Morrow (Structures)

The exhibition will take place in the Abercrombie Building at Oxford Brookes University, opening on the 26th May running until the 5th June (9am-5pm)

It will then move to London on the 20th June for 1 week (venue and details tbc)
