My son in law has had an accident shattering his elbow, still awaiting surgery and unable to work.

Despite applying for universal credit 3 weeks ago, the first payment will take at least 5 weeks. The housing association, who are fully aware of the situation, have issued an eviction order and a court date at the end of August. They are also entitled to no help with council tax. The housing association have told them that universal credit will not cover all their rent and they will therefore proceed with the eviction. Charlotte, mum, usually stays home and looks after the children. Whilst she is willing to seek work she does not drive and lives in an area with no public transport. Stephen has a shattered elbow and after 16 days is still awaiting surgery involving a bone graft from his hip. They are desperate and terrified of being evicted so my aim is to raise 12 weeks rent to see them through the worst period. I am ashamed that this is what I have had to do but I am unable to offer any financial help and this is breaking my heart. Any help would really really be gratefully received.
