Stop Press! Thanks to the kind donations already received we have reached our initial funding target. But we're going to go a little further and set our new target at £800 in order to cover the costs of the following;
- Additional "outside eye" inputs from two local theatre specialists
- The purchase of basic lighting equipment
After feedback from our recent preview performances in St.Ives and Newlyn we believe that the above will help us to add even more magic to the show.
We are adding some more prizes to help this along!

Behind every great legend is a great woman. And this woman will have to risk losing everything she holds dear. But who is Eloise?
To tell her story, we must delve deep into West Cornwall's history and traditions, visit far flung shores and reveal long held secrets. It’s a journey through the centuries for all ages, with songs and tales of love, loss and loyalty, steeped in Cornish folklore.
This gripping musical story has it all - Barbary pirates, a Spanish raid, a shipwreck, mysterious goings on, betrayal and redemption, plus a generous helping of local gossip! At the heart of the story is an unsuspecting heroine, a humble healer from Carn Euny, born with a destiny to help others, living and otherwise...
Enter a bygone world filled with original music and songs by the critically acclaimed Cornish band Tyn Daga (described as ‘World class’ by The Cornish Guardian) with dramatic story telling, a host of compelling characters, film and atmospheric soundscapes - a feast for the imagination and the senses, suitable for all ages!
The production features talented vocalist and theatre & film actor Natalie Mossayebi (Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Importance of Being Earnest, The Life - Westend Musical, Grimms' Fairytales)
WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP
The aim is for Eloise Tregeagle to tour Cornwall's village halls and local festivals in 2018, with preview shows in the autumn of 2017.
Although the production is gaining wide support and enthusiasm in West Cornwall, we realise that if we are to meet our aims we need to raise more funds to address a shortfall in certain project costs.
We are asking for you to help us realise the potential of this exciting, new Celtic production so that we can take it out to communities all over Cornwall. The story brings alive some episodes in Cornish history and legend that we do not want to see lost over time - please help us to keep these stories and their message alive!
Your money will go directly to support the costs of:
- Hire of rehearsal space (we've outgrown Greg's kitchen and now rehearse at Sancreed Village Hall, but need some support to pay for this )
- A HD (High Definition) projector to bring out the quality of Paul Lewin and Alan Burton's original landscape film, which accompanies the story
- Costumes - 17th century attire for six cast/crew members. We will be creative in the way we source suitable clothing, but we still anticipate that the combined cost will amount to £200 or so.
- Props (including a 'tin' dagger and a portable pulpit).
