From The Boys League presentation evenings, School plays and getting ready for The Moray Marathon oh and The Green Cross Code man I’ve many memories of Elgin’s unique Town Hall. Let’s keep its heart beating in the community.

Known this building all of my life, sung in it, acted in it and visited it over the years. This is a fantastic opportunity for a great bunch of people to take back this historic building

I have always been proud to have attended many events in this hall over the years since its opening. I feel especially vested in this building, as my uncle Hamish Stuart was clerk of works at its construction. Despite all criticism, it is a building of its time, the 1960s, and should be cherished as such. Appreciate the craftsmanship of the internal woodwork and the clean lines of the design. There is no venue in Moray to equal it. Good luck to the team who have taken responsibility to keep it going for the community. I wish you every success and look forward to attending many more events there in the future.

Well done on getting this far. You have all worked so hard and it is right you get support from the community for whom you are ultimately doing all this. Keep positive as many are with you.

I know we are all under pressures to donate and give to a host of worthy causes, each one deserving. I'd urge you to think about giving a few £ to this cause... When I try to picture an Elgin without its Town Hall it feels a sad place. I really hope the volunteers behind the gargantuan effort to save the Town Hall for our community can get a few pennies raised through this to help them get it up and running.
