Unlike some of our opponents, we don't have much money or have rich people funding our campaign - but we do have energy and determination and we are getting things done. We've been working hard in the ward since before the pandemic started and throughout it. Among other actions, we've arranged for fly tipped rubbish and overgrowth to be cleared, reported graffiti for removal, pressed successfully for more CCTV and police patrols, helped individual residents with many council-related issues and done shopping and errands for many of those who have been unable to leave their homes.
To continue our work and do more we need to be elected to the council. We listen to residents and will represent them properly. For too long residents here haven't had that proper representation and the area has been ignored for funding improvements . A vote for us will be a vote for a better St. Luke's for everyone. We'd love to have been able to get out on the doorstep and speak to people face to face, but even though that's now permitted - with restrictions - there isn't the time to call on everyone and we're reluctant to do it anyway because it's unfair to ask people to stand and talk to us when they're not allowed visits from their own family. We'll be dropping in leaflets, sending some letters and making phone calls where we can and we are always happy to speak to people who get in touch (our contact details are below).
If you want to help us get elected and can manage a donation to help fund our campaign - including for those leaflets and letters - we'll be very grateful. We know most people here are like us and can't spare much, but donations of even a pound or two mount up and if we're elected it'll be money well spent - the local area will see improvements pretty quickly.
