Help get Green Party MPs elected in Hackney South & Shoreditch and Hackney North & Stoke Newington.

Hackney Greens are the largest Green Party in London with more than 1000 members - we can really set the agenda at the General Election in May!

Hackney Green Party is campaigning for homes not investments, fair wages and clean air for Hackney. We are the only political party in the borough opposed to austerity and policies that target the poor and most vulnerable.

Hackney South and Shoreditch

Seasoned local campaigner Charlotte George will be challenging for the seat of Hackney South and Shoreditch.

Over the past couple of years I’ve become really concerned about housing in Hackney. We are only a few steps away from London becoming a city purely for the wealthy, with everyone else forced out into the fringes.”

A resident of South Hackney, living in Victoria Ward for four years, Charlotte is passionate about human rights and social equality issues which she tackles through drama and comedy as a filmmaker often working with vulnerable people, including asylum seekers, ex-offenders and teenage parents.

Housing, along with challenging the current anti-immigration rhetoric and getting real about climate change, are the issues I most want to talk to the people of South Hackney about. The Green Party can offer them a genuine alternative.” Charlotte said.

Hackney North and Stoke Newington

Local health and education advocate Heather Finlay will be challenging for the seat of Hackney North and Stoke Newington.

“I am standing for this election because we have been told for too long that there is no alternative – no alternative to austerity, no alternative to fossil fuels. But it has become increasingly obvious that we need an alternative to policies that leave many living in Hackney worse off, public services struggling and Londoners living with the effects of poor air quality.”

As a resident of North East London for over 15 years and Hackney for the last five years Heather maintains an interest in the local NHS and is a public representative on the City and Hackney Patient and Public Involvement subcommittee.

“The Green Party has alternatives and I look forward to giving the residents of Hackney North and Stoke Newington an opportunity to think differently about their future.” Heather said.
