Over the next 18 months, I Jake Sweeting a student from King Edmund School in Essex will be doing multiple fundraising events to raise money to travel with Camps International to Ecuador in August 2017 for a month of personal development and charitable project work.
The money I raise will help to go towards the travel costs and assit in supporting the country I am visiting. I will be taking part in community, wildlife and enviroment projects whilst in Ecuador to benefit the local communities, some of the activies we will be doing are helping to build schools, planting new trees to help deforestation in the Amazon rainforest. Also taking part in a personal challenge of scuba diving.
The core objectives of this expedition are to undertake projects in order to:
• Raise the educational standards of developing communities within a rural district of
• Raise the living standards of developing communities, within a rural district of
• Assist with ongoing wildlife conservation programmes to preserve biodiversity and
protect vulnerable habitats.
I am currently 14 years old and am looking forward to the challenge of raising the money needed and also of taking part in this amazing experience to help others and give something back to the enviroment. I am exciting about what the next 18 months is going to bring and the challenges I am going to be facing. My first being a Bungee Jump in 2016.
