Eat Square Canteen

To fund the opening of Eat Square Canteen - a new restaurant concept in Bath off quality hand made local food to locals at a great price

Unfortunately, this project was not successful

Help fund the reopening of an empty restaurant as Eat Square Canteen - Help enable us to bring quality, local hand made food to  Bath for local people.

There are many national and multinational brands in Bath offering generic food and drinks to the locals and tourists alike. By funding the Eat Square Canteen you will be helping bring locally made and sourced food to local people.

Eat Square hand make pies, pasties and sausage rolls in their kitchen in Bradford on Avon. Using 100% free range and local ingredients we have won awards for our pies. Offering a range of traditional and gluten free pies with meat and veggie fillings. There are even 2 vegan pies to choose from and we offer vegan pie and mash, with vegan gravy in the restaurant.

Also on offer are sausages from local butchers and farm shops; served with mash or in a bun. Our kitchen cooks up a soup of the day (always tasty and vegan) served with roll and butter (not vegan!). They also provide the restaurant with cakes and tasty specials throughout the week.

Eat Square crowdfunded its kitchen in 2015 and now we are back looking to open a restaurant in Walcot Street Bath. This is location is perfect for Eat Square and the canteen concept with plenty of space, including a terrace at the rear.

Here Eat Square will offer you great food at a great price. The Canteen concept keeps staffing costs low and thus enables us to give you tasty free range local food at a reasonable price. Our aim is to have tea and coffee for just £1.50 with £1 refills. Plus a full menu with award winning Eat Square food...

The menu will include:

Breakfast: From £2.50... Our free range sausage rolls; famous double sausage and egg pie, porridge and on the weekends a self service brunch will soon be available.

Lunch/ Dinner: from £3.50... Pie, mash and gravy from £5.95;  Thick rich stew served in a bread roll bowl; our hand made pasties; soups and daily specials.

Our idea is to open 8.30am till late with no premium for dinner food. Serving local ales and ciders like Kettlesmith and Iford Cider into the night time with live DJ on the weekends until late.

Ideally situated on the edge of town people can pop in on the way in or out for a good feed and friendly service.
