Help Birkheads Wild CIC replace stolen equipment
We did it
On 1st February 2019 we successfully raised £885 with 32 supporters in 28 days

Our site was burgled over new year, some of our camping equipment, session resources & tools were stolen. We are crowdfunding to replace it.

New stretch target

Once we have raised enough to replace what was stolen, any additional funds will help us improve security and storage options to help prevent this from happening in the future.

I've just quickly set up this page in response to all the kind comments and offers of support I've had in the last couple of days on social media and over email - Birkheads Wild CIC really appreciates the support of our friends, regular visitors and followers.

As most of you know, we help local young people to discover, explore and enjoy the outdoors at Birkheads Wild. In order to do that we had built up a small Equipment Library which we lend out to groups who don't have access to their own camping gear or need extras to be able to visit and camp here.

Our 2 acre site is rural and remote, and our on-site storage was broken into over new year.

Although we are careful to not leave any items of high value on site, collectively the thieves took a few hundred pounds worth of equipment including; sleeping bags for teenagers and children, roll mats, a tent, a stove, tools, Fire Steels and essential session resources such as my First Aid rucksack and Fire Gloves!

There is also damage which now needs repairing and following the advice of the Police we would really like to upgrade our security and storage to help prevent this from happening in the future.

Any amount you can donate will be gratefully received and will help us to continue to provide memorable outdoor experiences for local young people in the future.
