My husband, Mark Bennett, bravely fought cancer for almost 7 years. He battled stage 4 colon cancer that had spread to his lungs and other parts of his body.
His wish in his final year of life was to start this foundation to help other families who are faced with a stage 4 diagnosis of cancer, which usually means their illness it terminal. He passed away on December 20, 2019, and I hope to keep his memory alive by continuing to get this organization off the ground in his honour.
The first step is finalizing the branding, so funds would be used to develop this branding and website for selling products.
The second step will be developing a prototype of clothing and creating a stock that is ready to sell.
We would like 100% of proceeds to be donated to the foundation and the funds to be used for helping stage 4 families with life, whether is means hiring nannies to help with kids or chores at home, or meals on wheels, or maybe just a vacation for the family to take a break from the cancer life.
From personal experience, Mark and I saw that there is a great need in the community to support families who are affected by stage 4 cancer. This organization will be solely focused on lifting some burden from these families who are going through so much.
