Due to the current pandemic, the Dulwich Hamlet PTA have had to cancel our most fun and profitable fundraising events of last year. After cancelling the summer disco, bake sales, the St Patrick's day ceilidh, summer fair and closing the uniform shop, we found ourselves unable to fund this year's goal of improving IT in our school. Our lost revenue amounts to approximately £10,000. In addition, it is unlikely that we can run our usual fundraising events in the autumn term. The IT funding goal was set in September 2019 before we knew what was about to happen. Now more than ever, we need this goal to be met. Our target for the IT fund is £10,000. In addition to lost PTA income, the school budget has been hit by lost grants and further government cutbacks, so PTA funding is crucial. We would love to continue to buy the children treats this Christmas and pay for the fun extras we always support. So we really need to raise more than our £10000 IT target to continue our efforts.
