We need emergency funds to help pay our wonderful teachers and keep the school open into next year.

Drumduan is a beautiful Steiner inspired school in Moray, in the North-East of Scotland, with a thriving community of teachers, parents and kids.

In May, parents and teachers found out that the school was facing serious financial difficulties - and a early June, we were told that the current trustees were all stepping down.

A newly formed Friends, Parents and Teachers Association stepped into the breach to try to turn the situation around. Since then we have pooled our skills, knowledge, resources and passion, channelling people into different working groups to identify the problems and find swift solutions; we researched and launched fundraising initiatives, including everything from selling honey to a large ethical investment fund; we held our first big fundraising party in woodland near Elgin; and six wonderful new trustees have just been elected to our board.

There is still much uncertainty about what will happen next - we are hoping to save the current school buildings and land, where the school has been based for some thirty years. But without a swift injection of funds, that may not be possible.

Whatever happens next, many of our teachers and parents have committed to continuing to provide an inspiring education for our kids in this wild and wonderful part of Scotland, close to the sea and mountains - because we believe that the true wealth of a school lies in the people that make it happen.

So please, donate today - and if you can, join us in the autumn to celebrate the next chapter in our story!
