To raise match funding for our new circus theatre production "Drudwen"- a dark and magical modern fairy tale. In Welsh and English.

by CIMERA CBC in Treborth, Wales, United Kingdom

Cimera CBC are a North Wales based collective of artists working in contemporary circus, theatre and outdoor spectacle. We are a home grown company, deeply rooted in our community where we teach regular classes and perform at local events. Drudwen is our first professional touring show, bringing together a fantastic team of creatives to take us across Wales - encouraging Welsh speakers and learners alike to come together and experience and exhilarating show, promoting the Welsh language and strengthening our unique artistic voice.

We are lucky enough to be receiving support from Arts Council Wales, but we still need YOUR support to hit our targets and ensure the best chance for the show that we all feel very passionately about! Every little helps so thanks in advance for any donations.

Syrcas, theatr gorfforol a cherddoriaeth sy’n adrodd hanes troellog y ddewines Drudwen, a’r efeilliaid diniwed yr olwg mae hi’n ei ddarganfod mewn coedwig.

Mae Drudwen yn stori tylwyth teg modern a hudolus am drawsnewid, dewisiadau a chanlyniad.

Gwledd i’r synhwyrau gyda champau awyrol prydferth, comedi corfforol a cherddoriaeth fyw afaelgar.

Perfformir yn Gymraeg a Saesneg.

Circus, physical theatre and music tell the twisting story of the enchantress Drudwen, and the twins she finds in the forest who are not all that they appear to be….

Drudwen is a dark modern fairytale, a magical tale of transformation, choice and consequence.

With stunning aerial circus, hilarious physical comedy and captivating live music, Drudwen is a feast for the senses. Performed in Welsh and English.

Mae Cimera yn gwmni Syrcas Theatr Cyfoes o Ogledd Cymru.

Fel y Χίμαιρα  ‘Chimera’ syfrdanol o Mytholeg Groeg, Rydan ni’n gwmni o sawl rhan. Rydym yn dod ag artistiaid ynghyd o draddodiadau perfformio a pherfformio amrywiol i arbrofi a gwireddu ein gweledigaeth i greu llais artistig unigryw i Ogledd Cymru. Rydym yn creu gwaith pwerus, anarchaidd, comig a thywyll yn y Gymraeg a'r Saesneg.

Dechreuodd y weledigaeth ar gyfer Drudwen ffurfio 7 mlynedd yn ôl o amgylch yr adeg y gwnaethom sefydlu Cimera - dechreuodd gyda sgwrs am greu chwedl dylwyth teg wreiddiol ar gyfer syrcas a stori a oedd yn cael ei llunio ym meddwl kate.

Rydym wedi cael llawer o help ar hyd y ffordd, yn ymarferol ac yn greadigol gan gyd-artistiaid, cwmnïau a ffrindiau yn ogystal â chyllid Ymchwil a Datblygu, ac rydym yma, yn awr gyda chyllid cynhyrchu Cyngor Celfyddydau Cymru i gynhyrchu a theithio y sioe.

I ni, dyma ddechrau ein taith fel cwmni cynhyrchu ac rydym mor ffodus i allu gwireddu'r freuddwyd hon, ond wrth gwrs mae angen mwy o help arnom, y tro hwn arian cyfatebol. Os gwelwch yn dda, cefnogwch ni drwy'r Crowdfunder hwn, mae unrhyw swm bach neu fawr yn golygu llawer- Diolch yn fawr iawn

Cimera are a Contemporary Circus Theatre Company from North Wales.

Like our namesake the impossibly dazzling hybrid Chimera of Greek Mythology we are a company of many parts. We bring together artists from diverse performance and design traditions to experiment and realise our vision to create a unique artistic voice for North Wales. We create work that is powerful, anarchic, comic and dark in both Welsh and English .

The vision for Drudwen began to form 7 years ago around the time we founded Cimera – it started with a conversation about creating an original fairy tale for circus and a story that was taking shape in Kate’s mind

We have had a lot of help along the way, both practically and creatively from fellow artists, companies and friends as well as Research and Development funding along the way and are here, now with Arts Council of Wales production funding to produce and tour the full show.

For us this is the beginning of our journey as a producing company and we are so lucky to be able to realise this dream, but of course we need more help, this time match funding. Please support us through this Crowdfunder, any amount small or large means a lot- Diolch

Mae cynhyrchiad yn gael ei cefnogi gan Cyngor Celfyddydau Cymru, ac yn creu mewn partneriaeth gyda Pontio, Bangor a Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru. Rydan ni’n gael cefnogaeth ychwanegol gan Ffwrnes, Llanelli
