To raise funds for my drama school fees as I have been accepted onto Fourth Monkey's 2 year accelerated rep training course.

Hello! My name is Charlotte Boyle, I am 20 years old, and I am making positive steps towards my career as an actress. I am seeking the generosity of others to help me continue my journey as an artist. After auditioning this year, I have gratefully received an offer from Fourth Monkey Actor Training Rep Company. The course fees in total are £22000. I do not expect to raise this purely from crowdfunding of course, but anything I can raise from this platform is appreciated like you would not believe. In order to raise fees aside from using this platform, I have been busy busy busy! I have a few fundraisers coming up that I have arranged. I have sold my car, I have turfed about 3/4 of my wardrobe to resell, and will be doing a few car-boots with my lovely momma.

I have always wanted to train. I believe that training gives you the chance to develop your craft, and push your potential, which I think I have a lot of. I have been fortunate enough to have trained on the RADA Foundation in Acting course in 2017/18. Since then, I have been making theatre throughout this year with the Theatre Royal Plymouth on their lab company scheme, and created a company called RunRagged. We have just finished a run of our debut play '[This is a play]' and received exciting feedback! During this year, I have performed at the Barbican Theatre, toured with company 'RunLikeStags' with their show to London, Bristol & Wiltshire, been part of Plymouth fringe, and filmed some work with ITV that will be shown in spring 2020. I will be returning to Plymouth in my Christmas break to perform back in the lab for a show called 'fireworks' that we performed at Plymouth fringe, and has now been programmed for TRP's lab autumn season. I wanted to tell you all about what I've been up to and how proactive I am in making my dreams happen, to show you that donating would be a worthy investment towards my future. I am such an ambitious young woman, I know where I want to be and I will continue to be grateful for the opportunities that arise. On the flip side, I will continue to pick myself up, dust myself down and remember why I want to do this when my career doesn't always say 'you've got the part'.

To be offered a place at fourth monkey was like a golden ticket to me, because the training covers both my needs to develop myself as an actor, but also focus' on ensemble and making theatre, which is something I discovered making work with RunRagged this year.

At this point in my life, the course fees are out of my reach. However, I will endeavour to try every thing I can to obtain them aside from working and saving. I now have 3 jobs which I have picked up so I can work non stop throughout the summer to raise as much as I can before I go. When I move to London from Cornwall, I will be working a job(s) on top of my training to pay my rent. It is 40+ contact hours a week, my days will be 8/9am-6pm, 5 days a week. I will work as much as I can, most likely a few weekdays after school, and on the weekends, but this is largely so I can afford to live in London.

I have chosen this career path because I love performing, I love sharing moments with strangers and I love people. That's what my work is essentially - trying to understand what it is to be human. This is the career I want, and I won't give up - especially not because of money. SO, thank you for your time, and if you have donated - thank you. I am one step closer. I am extremely grateful for whatever I can get through crowdfunding from you. I will not give up. Here we go!!!!

With gratitude,

Charlotte Boyle
