Dot was a Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandma, Great Grandma, Aunty a great Friend and just an all round lovely lady.
Her door was always open to anybody, nobody was ever turned away. She insisted on feeding you till you where fit to burst, along with endless cups of tea from her teapots!
Her cakes and buns were legendary, always lopsided, always burnt (although she used to cut the burnt bits off and covered it in a ton of icing!) We all loved when our birthdays came round and out would come the lopsided cake with candles on it!
She was the life and soul of the party, 1st one to start singing (although sometimes you did need to put your fingers in your ears as it was seriously out of tune!) Always 1st one on the dance floor and pulling people up to dance with her!
She adored her family and said that baby sitting her 3 year old grandson Charlie and 2 year old Great granddaughter Lacey kept her young fit and healthy! She was happiest when her family and friends where round her.
She really was the kindest woman you could ever meet. She always had a smile on her face, never down, never sad. Anyone who met her would describe her as one of the nicest people you could ever meet.
In lieu of flowers whatever you can give will be gratefully accepted and will be used to give Dot the colourful send off she deserves.
