In the face of those who would divide us Door of the Heart offers some refreshing harmony in an eclectic mix of sacred music, words and dance from many world traditions. Your donation will help to pay the costs of the concert enabling us to support the work of the artists who are offering their wonderful gifts.
The Mary Magdalene School of Wisdom presents a one off event showcasing top quality performers Mohini Chatlani, Peter Barratt, Carole Isis, Gulcin Bulut, Olivia Dewhurst Maddock, Grainne Gordon, Rose Snow, Peter and Leah Findlay and Ulanah Morris. Styles include eclectic fusion singing, Turkish and Persian Sufi singing and music, devotional spontaneous piano, kirtan, classical voice as mirror to the soul, awaking heart voice and guitar, ancestral Irish song, visionary mystical poetry, and sacred dancing.
The theme of the event is the inner sacred marriage – when two become one, the ultimate transcendent romance.
“I have been to three events featuring these artists. The music takes you away.. deeply moves you. With world class artists, you come away lifted, with a feeling of well being.” Liz Bowen.
The organisers are delighted to bring these inspiring artists together again. Some exiting new partnerships have been formed, and new work has been written especially for the Greater Manchester Fringe Festival, of which this a part.
