To do more to help animals in need. At the same time to provide employment for those out of work for a lengthy period of time.

We have been smallholders for many years, with great experience in running the farm and have a strong desire to do more to help animals in need. We are very aware that there are many donkeys and goats in the UK that need a place for them to live happy, fulfilling lives. There is, as ever, a shortage of facilities of this type. On our farm we have both space and the motivation to create a modern, top quality refuge for these animals in need. Stables, hardstanding, fencing, plumbing and electric services all cost money of course, hence this crowdfunding project. Additionally, we see this project as a way to provide employment for those who have been out of work for a lengthy period of time. Caring for and looking after animals is a rewarding job for those who have the desire to do so. As part of this project the plan is to provide on-line coverage through the use of web cams and website with a blog so those who are interested can be involved, even if they are too far away to visit the sanctuary in person.
