I'm running for Parliament because none of the candidates in my constituency represent my views - nor those of anyone else who want to stop austerity, oppose nuclear war, keep the NHS public and uphold our nations reputation for being tolerant and compassionate.

It costs £500 to stand for Parliament. On top of that you need to pay £500 for freepost mail and that's before you've even started paying to run a campaign.

Our electoral system is set up so that those with money and power can campaign to keep it. And those who don't, can't. The Green Party don't receive huge donations from multinational corporations, workers unions and private health care companies so can't afford to pay for all their candidates. So my only option is to raise my own funds and front the bill myself. To stand, send out 1 freepost letter and print 1 leaflet is going to cost me £1275. Which is currently my entire months wages. I've managed to cover £700 myself and am just trying to raise the money for the Rest. If anyone could help me out I'd be hugely appreciative! Thanks a lot,Dominic Ellis.
