Our dream

Our dream is to create a sanctuary where dogs can feel relaxed and safe while enjoying the physical and mental stimulation they require. Our daycare provides a doggy 'theme park', where dogs spend time with their friends and carers, in different areas, each with a distinct set of activities and apparatus, giving your furry friends a different experience each time they visit.

We also want to create a place where owners and pets are welcome to enjoy the facilities themselves whether at one of our organised weekend events or by dropping in.

What have we done so far?

We have already started to build our doggy 'adventure playground', by completing two doggy tree houses, which we have handbuilt ourselves using recycled and reclaimed materials. We have fenced off two fields, built shelters from the elements for the dogs and their carers, and refurbished our offices.

How can you help?

Our next projects are:

  • Turf both of our fields so that our dogs can enjoy the smell and feel of lush grass beneath their paws
  • Build an agility course so that we can start agility training classes
  • Equip our second 'theme park' with a pond and 'Indiana Bones' themed camp.

We are looking for funding towards the materials only, as we will do all the landscaping and construction work ourselves.

About me

I have over 20 years of professional experience working with dogs and their owners. I spent several years in Italy training working dogs including search and rescue, assistance dogs, and pet therapy. I've worked in a dog rescue centre in Greece, and subsequently owned and ran a dog training school and kennels specialising in training family pets as well as guard dogs and police dogs. I believe that every dog is different and requires a unique approach to training and stimulation to achieve the best outcomes for the individual dog.
