DocFest 2025: +Extra funding campaign

Terms and conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to the “DocFest 2025” promotional campaign (to be referred to as the “Campaign”).

  1. The Promoter is Crowdfunder Ltd, (Crowdfunder, Crowdfunder.co.uk) 3 Southview House St Austell Enterprise Park, Carclaze, St Austell, Cornwall, PL25 4EJ
  2. The Campaign opens at 13:00pm on 18th June 2025 (the “Opening Date”) and closes at 11:59pm on 31st December 2025 (the “Closing Date”) (the “Promotional Period”). Projects will not be accepted before the Opening Date or after the Closing Date. Your project must raise a minimum of £10,000 on crowdfunder.co.uk by 31st December 2025 and must have at least 100 unique supporters.

Eligibility criteria

  • 3. Projects must meet the following criteria
  • a. You (the project owner) must be 18 years of age or over and be a UK resident.
  • b. You must have attended Crowdfunder’s panel at DocFest 2025.
  • c. You must register at www.crowdfunder.co.uk/docfest by 30th June.
    d. Your Project must be for the purpose of raising funds to make adocumentary.
  • e. You can only run one Project.
  • f. Your Project must raise a minimum of £10,000 on Crowdfunder.co.uk during the Promotional Period and must have at least 100 unique supporters. To verify whether supporters are unique we will take account of information including, but not limited to: name, address, email addresses and payment card used.
  • g. Projects on ‘all or nothing’ must be 100% successful to be eligible but you are welcome to set your project to ‘keep what you raise’.

Extra Funding

4. All projects which meet the criteria in 3 above will receive the following extra funding:

  • £500 pledged to your project by Crowdfunder if you raise £10,000; or
  • £1,000 pledged to your project by Crowdfunder if you raise £20,000 or more

5. The decision of the Promoter as to whether a project complies with the eligibility criteria is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

6. Should you wish to withdraw from the DocFest 2025 campaign at any time please inform us via [email protected]

7. To receive the extra funding, the project owner must contact Crowdfunder on [email protected] once they raise £10,000. The funding will be added to eligible projects within 15 workingdays.

General

8. You are responsible for all expenses incurred as a result of participating in this Campaign. This may include, but is not limited to, costs associated with the running of a project on Crowdfunder.co.uk, production of a promotional video, purchasing images or promoting the project.

9. By participating in the Campaign, you agree for the details of your name and your project, including supplied photos, written pitch and videos, to be made public on the Promoter’s social media channels.

10. Recipients agree to be the subject of, and participate in, a case study to be published on the Promoter’s websites and social media channels for the purposes of promoting the Campaign and future campaigns. By entering into the Campaign you are providing your consent for this activity.

11. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the campaign or these terms and conditions at any stage but will only do so for reasons outside of their reasonable control. The Promoter will endeavour to minimise the effect of such cancellation or amendment on participants in order to avoid disappointment.

12. The Promoter accepts no responsibility or liability for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft, destruction, alteration of, or unauthorised access to entries, or entries lost, incomplete or delayed whether or not arising during operation or transmission as a result of server failures, virus, bugs or other causes outside its control. All lost, damaged or incomplete entries will be deemed invalid.

13. The Promoter, in its sole discretion, may disqualify any Project at any stage for providing untruthful, inaccurate, misleading information and/or is otherwise in breach of these Terms.

15. These Terms are governed by and construed and performed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms.
