We did it
On 18th April 2018 we successfully raised £3,151 with 69 supporters in 65 days

We are creating a network to help people who are experiencing difficulty with drugs or alcohol addiction.

Alcohol and drug addiction prevents the spiritual, emotional and mental growth of an individual. For the addict, they literally stop wanting to learn or progress themselves on any level other than the one they are already on. This is why many alcoholics and drug addicts are emotionally stunted and are unable to control their emotions. Many addicts believe once they are a few months clean from drugs or alcohol they are cured. An addict is not cured by not using alcohol or drugs. It is important to remember that drinking or drug using is only an underlying symptom within the addict. Total abstinence from drugs or alcohol takes a spiritual and mental awareness through healing and growth.

We are looking for funding to raise awareness and education of the range of support services that are available in Derby. Most of our volunteers are recovering individuals who have overcome many life changing issues that have empowered us and bought us together on our journey.

As a recovering alcoholic I only know too well of the challenges faced in society and so I am determined to encourage others into recovery and help them to enhance life skills, gain access to training, education and attend other self-help groups.

The funding raised will pay for much needed literature and promotional materials to allow people to know what support is available to them. We  promote our services to community groups, professional organisations and the wider press and media, attending meetings, events, workshops etc to spread the word.

Over £200 million has been raised from our crowd to support the projects they love! Plus tens of millions more unlocked by our partners.
