Let’s demand better for Weston-super-Mare, Worle and the Villages!
Following strong results in the local and European elections, Patric Keating and the Liberal Democrats have a real chance to beat Tory MP John Penrose in Weston super Mare.
With a snap General Election a serious possibility, we need your help fund a strong campaign that will help us reach every voter in the constituency with our message that we will be demanding better for local people.
We have a powerful message, but need your help to raise funds for posters, leaflets and social media campaigning.
Patrick is North Somerset Councillor for Blagdon and Churchill, having overturned a long-standing Tory majority in the villages at the recent local elections. A passionate advocate for local people, Patrick is a trustee of the Community Council for Somerset which provides services to rural communities across the county and is a non-parent governor of the primary school.
Patrick has been an active supporter of the Save Weston A&E campaign, and as a councillor is working to ensure that local residents have a voice in planning and development decisions.
Patrick actively campaigned for remain in the EU referendum, and as a senior manager in a major car manufacturer, he knows first hand the damage a Tory Brexit will do to our country’s manufacturing base.
A life-long supporter of the Liberal Democrat vision of an open, tolerant and united Britain, Patrick is determined to demand better for the people of Weston super Mare and the villages by beating John Penrose and the Tories at the next general election.
“For too long John Penrose has stood to one side as the Conservative Government fails the residents of Weston and the villages. The economy and vital public services are suffering because of their heartless policies. Our A&E is on the verge of permanent closure, while a no deal Brexit would do serious damage to our local economy.
As your MP I will campaign on a positive vision for our future. I will demand that the people of Weston and the villages get the services they deserve, and will fight to stop the Tories and Labour dragging the country into a disastrous Brexit.”
