De-Fib for the masses.
Not quite
Unfortunately this project was not successful.

I’m raising money to buy a defibrillator for our workplace but also for the surrounding area, businesses and residential properties to use.

After recently attending a mandatory first aid course through my workplace it home home to me the difference between life nd death in some cases is minutes.

The age of heart attack victims is lower than its ever been and a lot more prevalent in under 40’s than it ever should be. Lifestyle plays a massive part in this but also things out of our control sometimes.

Did you know if a person suffers a cardiac arrest and gets treatment with a defibrillator within 3 minutes they have a 75% survival rate.

If they get defibrillator treatment within 8 minutes they have a survival rate of 25-30%. After 8 minutes this rate drops to zero! Too much of the heart muscle would have died.

Myself and my colleagues are trying to get a defibrillator machine into our place of work. This machine will not only be a lifesaver for us but also the surrounding businesses and residential properties who would have access to this machine.

We calculated the closest machine to us at present would take a minimum of 10-15 minutes to retrieve and that’s with no traffic so you can see the survival rate for a cardiac arrest would be zero!

This machine would and could easily bring much needed health care to approximately    1000 people within its catchment area probably more.

Unfortunately they are not as cheap to buy as they should be, although there are many more appearing throughout city centres and heavily populated areas.

Please help us to purchase one of these life saving pieces of equipment to ensure myself and others safely get home to our children and loved ones.

Unfortunately with the burdens on the NHS at present and ambulance services throughout the country, this one piece of equipment gives that vital extra time for the emergency services to reach you in the unfortunate event you suffer a heart related problem.

Help us to help others to help you.

Thank you.
