Creating Adventures was created to bring laughter, stimulation and enrichment to the lives of adults aged 18+ with autism and learning disabilities. We do this through activities and opportunities that brings a twinkle to their eyes and makes them feel alive again. Giving the adults new opportunities, new experiences and life-long hobbies which offer them mental stimulation and personal fulfilment.
We held a Sports & Wellbeing Festival in 2019 which was a huge success and the highlight of the day for the adults was the fun, vibrant, loud and energetic dancersize class which showed a room full of happy smiling adults who were getting great exercise but having heaps of fun at the same time.
On average, females with learning disabilities have around an 18-year shorter life expectancy than the general population, and males had around a 14-year shorter life expectancy than the general population. Can we make an impact on this through providing an opportunity to be healthier and happier?
Exercise classes are offered throughout towns and cities and although they don't actually exclude adults with additional needs, they also aren't forthcoming in catering for these adults who may need the class to be run a little differently. This is why we want to run an open class available to all adults across Warrington and surrounding areas with additional needs, autism and learning disabilities.
This is an exercise class but also a highly sociable activity which encourages adults to meet new friends, develop their social skills and improve their physical and mental health in a fun environment.
The money raised will be used to pay for the Fitness instructor, the venue, refreshments and to support the charity with some running costs.
Please support us and help to improve the lives and hopefully extend the lives of adults with additional needs.
