At MAGNA we are making it up & making art (in a whole bunch of different ways!)
We are passionate about cross-genre arts, with a strong focus on creating safe spaces for underrepresented voices and challenging the norms of live and recorded arts. Check out our work here: www.wearemagna.org
Dagny Wants To Dance is our new project which is performed in BSL and English. We are crowd-funding to sponsor community tickets to give to local Brixton humans.
Here's some info about the show:
Four million BC:
“...and all across the earth’s surface, the silver wings of a billion pirouetting birds seemed to set the planet alight. The others marvelled and followed suit. Then came a day when the others danced bigger, brighter, and the birds were...oh, whatever happened to the birds?”
Dagny Wants To Dance.
From MAGNA, the team behind Beige and Beige Online - comes Dagny Wants To Dance, a 30 minute immersive show for small groups (around six people) at the Bureau of Silly Ideas, Brixton.
Dagny, a giant bird, is ready to guide you through a world of vibes, moves and joy to get you ready for the party of your dreams.
An intimate whirlwind of tender, interactive fun, MAGNA’s new show combines the silliness we all miss, the togetherness we all crave and a gentle reconnection with the humans around us.
Explore hope, connection and inclusion in this immersive & interactive experience in the heart of Brixton.
Any money that isn't allocated specifically for community tickets will be donated to our partner charity; South London Cares.
