Dale Edgar Rankine, my dear cousin, tragically died suddenly almost 3 years ago at the age of 35, leaving behind his partner, Rachel and his yet to be born daughter, Dayle and many more people who loved him dearly. For everyone who's life was lucky enough to be touched by Dale, the world is unquestionably darker without him.
Dale had the biggest heart, full of hugs and kisses for his loved ones and his smile would light up a room. He was a proud Scotsman and a joker at heart. He could make anyone laugh, was kind and loving but he had his struggles in life.
In his honour I have decided to run, wade, climb, crawl and claw my way through the Yorkshire Warrior, a 10k obstacle course. I have never done anything like this before so it is definitely going to be a challenge!! I am asking for kind donations/sponsorship to raise money for Scotland's Children 1st charity, a charity that works to prevent abuse and neglect of children in Scotland. I have chosen this charity to honour Dales's Scottish roots and because the best memories I have of him are of us getting up to mischief together as children. To raise money to help children live a happy and safe childhood seems fitting.
Please get in touch with me personally to find out more about his story.
