Disabled and Elderly Plumbing and Heating Emergency Response
Apprentice Plumbing Training Programme
Training our future generation of DEPHER Plumbing and Heating Engineers
( CIC Number )
We have now decided to train our own plumbers and heating engineers, this will allow us to teach and train the next generation with values that really count and will benefit the whole of society and all communities within the United Kingdom.
We will work with local colleges and training establishments as well as the HSE and Gas Safe to bring and deliver the best training as we possibly can.
Our training programme will deliver to the candidates a reason to achieve the best in themselves while at the same time understanding the need to respect and look after the vulnerable in our country.
We Will Consider and Train
First time offenders
With award dates and achievements introduced it will take away the boredom that some training can bring especially when the trainee is doing subjects that they think are not connected to the trade they are thriving for.
We will be seeking to purchase or rent a building that will allow us to open training bays and class rooms with dining rooms and faculties to be used at break times as well as meetings with potential investors into this great training programme.
We hope to have at least 5 to 10 trainees every 3 months to start on the programme and be established in a local college so they can learn the required English and maths that will be needed to become a good engineer as well as any other training that the college will feel is needed.
Our ambition is to open a centre in Lancashire first and then in Manchester, going wider in the UK as we grow bigger, hopefully with more investment through company support and through grants that may be available. This will then lead to more young people having training and career help available in the plumbing and heating industry, they are desperately needed as there is a shortfall of plumbing and heating engineers nationally.
We have the backing and full support of Northern Plumbing and Heating to Deliver the hand on knowledge and real time work in properties from private dwellings to nursing homes and offices.
Northern Plumbing deal with all gas work and all plumbing work as well as breakdown situations on boilers and other gas appliances.
Northern Plumbing will be transferring over to Depher CIC in the coming Year and will be known as Depher CIC UK Ltd, giving the company more transparency and better standing for the communities.
The installation of wet-rooms and bathrooms will also be available so trainees can learn the basics of plumbing repairs and installation.
Trainees will also have the opportunity to go on calls to DEPHER Breakdowns and meet the elderly and disabled to see hand on, the effect this has in making their life a lot easier to handle - while learning the true value of community and society.
The scheme will be regulated and run with all the relevant safety and secure procedures set in place and in law
We will have the relevant staff available and procedures set in place by working with the local councils and local colleges as well as Health and safety and gas safe inspectors.
All training will start from the basic classroom while learning skills such as
Maths and English
Once the classroom training is completed we will then introduce the practical training in a work shop to teach the basics of Building and plumbing and how it starts.
Once the trainee has reached the goal of plumbing competence then they will be trained in basic gas work and need to be fully trusted before being sent to a training centre to qualify as a Gas engineer.
The key skills that they will work towards are
City and Guilds Plumbing levels 1,2,3
CCN1 Gas Safety
We have had some Great and urgently needed support from the Queens charity for our Community initiative.
This will enable us to do more and grow that little more and will help us to save more lives and stop the ever growing suffering in the communities.
We really need your help and support in giving the young people in our communities a start and a place so that they can enhance their potential and full-fill their careers in society.
As well as giving them a focus and a future we can also give them a sense of respect for the elderly and disabled in the community and hopefully they will pass this onto their friends and family.
With centres that they and their friends can come to and learn skills that they otherwise would think are not available, this is a opportunity to give back to the community.
We will not give up on anyone and we will work more with the young people who want this, our work will not only be in the classroom it will expand outside of training so we can support them with other issues that they may encounter on the way to being a fully qualified plumbing and heating engineer.
