We are cycling 100 miles. leaving from The Gloucester Centre in Peterborough to our sites in and around Cambridge and finally heading back to The Gloucester Centre to finish our Journey.
We have chosen to raise money for the Multiple sclerosis society, as one of our dear collegues husband has recently been affected by this condition. Michelle's husband Martyn was diagonsed with Multiple Sclerosis in early 2016. Martyn is in his 40's with a dear wife, two daughters Rhianna and Alisha, two sons Sean and Luke and grandchildren. Multiple Sclerosis Society is a charity very close to Martyn and Michelles' heart. They have provided information and understanding of the condition and offered support to them while they face this journey together.
With the help of the MS society we are hoping to raise funds to further aid the society which cares for, treats and funds research that will one day beat MS.
What is MS?
More than 100,000 people in the UK have MS.
MS is complex, and has many symptoms.
Most people won't experience them all, certainly not at the same time.
Symptoms might include fatigue, vision problems and difficulties with walking, but MS is different for everyone.
There are lots of options for treating and managing MS.
They include drug treatments, exercise and physiotherapy, diet and alternative therapies.
To learn more about MS visit their website: https://www.mssociety.org.uk/what-is-ms
We are hoping to reach £100 or more with your donations.
Anything you can give will help make a difference.
The Big Bike Day will be 29th of July 2016 - starting at 08:00am
