Now more than ever, Tropic and United World Schools are ensuring that every child counts

That’s why Susie and The Tropic team are taking part in the Sussex 100 Cycle Challenge and raising money for United World Schools!

On Saturday 15th August Susie, Sönke, and Connor are all each cycling 100 miles through scenic Sussex to help UWS teach the unreached, and help them continue their education away from the classroom.

Donating will help raise funds needed to ensure that UWS can provide distance learning education to our students while schools remain closed across the globe.

More than 80% of the 1.2 billion children currently out of the classroom due to COVID-19 are in developing countries, where school closures are compounding an already urgent learning crisis.

We need your help to ensure that no child loses the opportunity to receive an education in the wake of the pandemic.

£10 educates a child learning at home for 4 weeks during Covid-19

£40 sponsors the salary and training of a community teacher for a fortnight

£100 provides new books to an entire community

UWS are closely monitoring the Covid-19 situation and following relevant government advice. The event is currently scheduled to go ahead as planned, and if anything changes. We'll be sure to update you.
