What is curious? festival?
A new arts festival for the North East - featuring live art performance, dance, film and workshops exploring and celebrating aspects of LGBTQ Culture needs your help!
Following a period of research the pin point producing team identified a gap in provision and opportunity for the LGBTQ community, both as audiences and artists in the North East. Through conversations and gaining support with fantastic partners curious? festival 2016 was born! In creating curious? we aim to promote visibility and recognition of LGBTQ issues, culture, artists and their work. We feel it is important to ensure we celebrate and promote quality work which raises awareness, encourages dialogue, promotes understanding, answers questions, poses new ones and invites everyone to be comfortably curious. Please get involved.
Curious? will launch on 9th of July in Gateshead &Newcastle. Working across two venues with over 25 artists, to deliver workshops, artist talks, performances, exhibitions and film works.
