Community has never been more important than it is right now. The Church of St John the Evangelist at Crosscanonby has been central to our community for generations, in fact since the 12th century. It is part of our past, present and should be part of our future. The church has been there for us all at the important events in our lives; christenings, weddings, and funerals. But due to much needed restoration it is important we come together as a community to preserve our heritage for future generations.
We are hoping to add to the generous donations already gratefully received to ensure critical work is completed to the church floor. The Church has not been in use since the floor deteriorated and will not be usable until the floor is replaced. For this we require £15,000 but hope to achieve £20,000 to ensure other external works that require attention can also be completed.
Right now, our church needs us, and with your kind help we hope to achieve this, primarily through crowd funding online and through donation envelopes which will be delivered to every house in the parish.
Please give as much as you can to help the church open as soon as possible.
