Not quite
Unfortunately this project was not successful.

To help give people back structure and dignity by creating outings and gathering and day breaks to help with isolation and mental health.

by Cross Point Drop in Group in Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom

Cross Point Group was formed and started by 4 friends who wanted to make a difference in their local community and help people who we individually knew who were lonely and in isolation.  Slowly bringing people out of this in their lives by introducing lasting relationships and friendly faces has really helped lots of people with there self-purpose and gave them a feeling of being part of something and wanted again in their lives. The group has now over 30 people attending.

We have been meeting up since Sep 2019 and the group has grew significantly since then but because of the COVID-19 outbreak, this has knocked the group back slightly and taken effect on people from the group i.e their mental health.

We are hoping after the lockdown period to have premises to call our own, Also we hope to start a gardening project for the group to grow vegetables where they can come and be part of something active to feel part of and most importantly to call their own to help motivate mental health and friendships.

The funding that you would help us with would go towards us getting a minibus not just to hire but to have whenever we need it to go trips and take the group on outings to boost morale and help people out of isolation and to visit places they haven't been, most of the group haven't ever left their communities so a trip would be a great way of helping.

Coffee, tea, sugar, milk and biscuits each week would help to fund this also, although this is just a minor area that we as a group have been trying to fund ourselves along wit the room booking where we meet.

Thanks for your donations in advance its so kind to have people care about what we are trying to do in our community.
