Please support this Swindon based project - rewards to suit both organisations and individuals to say thank you.
This event will be like a big community hug!
There will be activities for a balance of healthy mind and body; creativity, learning, relaxing and exercise. It is a modern take on the ‘street party’: enabling neighbours to connect and spend quality time together. It will happen in (and outside of) Lawn Community Centre, introducing people to a fabulous place that aims to enable friendships and community connections.
I am a local artist, Mary Parsons; I have organised this event for lots of reasons; to support my local community centre which has been really helpful to me in my health and wellbeing work - I take people to events and they welcome everyone! It is a way for me to give something to the community, but also to help me launch a career as a professional artist.
Donations on the door will go to Brighter Futures Radiotherapy fund, so people don't have to travel to Oxford for treatment. This page is to fund the costs of the event to make it happen with the biggest possible benefits to the local community.
This is what is confirmed so far:
- Juggling performance and workshop from Jacob Hi Ho
- Art workshop with Beverley Anderson from the Experimental Drawing Hub
- Knitting with Paula Nunnery from the Swindon Big Knit Project
- Craft with Bee Operanto

Also group sessions in your own house for a way to entertain your friends & family or make a party a bit special.
Organisations: Art projects for community groups, schools, rehabilitation units, team building for businesses can be arranged. I also do consultation on how to integrate art and wellbeing, and how to make art participation accessible to all. You can book me to work as a artist in residence.
Very happy to discuss other ideas :)
My work is nearly always colourful and usually architectural. Below are some pictures of my art or please visit my Etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/MaryParsonsArt?ref=hdr_shop_menu.
These pictured below are still available as both prints and originals. Many others are available just as prints and the collection is growing!
Please visit my Etsy Shop to see the full collection.
My latest work is on Facebook MaryParsonsArt
Fancy a painting day in my studio? Available for 1 or two people. Table and easel available. Blank canvas, paints, choice of materials...a day to do something different! Maybe a present or a treat to yourself?
Me in my studio! I could come and work in your venue for a week and bring out the creative side of your organisation - choose the 'Artist in Residence' reward. It is very flexible how this works and could involve, workshops, an exhibition, etc.
Some feedback about my work (from my LinkedIn Profile):
