Sadly, my Canon digital SLR camera was stolen early last month; an attempt to claim insurance is going to take a very long time, and its seems that personal items have very little proof of ownership, even if you have the unique camera build number. I am struggling without this creative tool, and I currently do not have the means to replace this. This is a tool that I use for my studies, creative endeavours, and community work.
The most challenging part of the theft is that I had received news of a friend going to Beulah land that week, this person was very influential in my life, and I was very numb with the news. In the bag also was binoculars that I had owned since a child; this item was a direct connection to the place where this friend lived. I hope one day the bag might be handed to the police. One thing I cannot replace is photographs that were on the DSLR memory card; this is very hard as it contained images from a trip that I had cycled approximately 76 miles. As my camera was before wifi transfer I had not been able to move the images.
