Ventnor RFC creating a sustainable future

Ventnor RFC creating a sustainable future

To create a more modern clubhouse environment to support all year round use both inside and out to aid sustainability

We did it!

On 13th Jun 2017 we successfully raised £2,650 of £2,000 target with 35 supporters in 35 days

New stretch target

So thanks to everyone who donated we have now reached our target of £2,000!!

We will now look to put any additional money raised to start on the interior of the club. Great job everyone! VRFC rugby family!!

Ventnor RFC has proudly been selected by the RFU as one of only 70 clubs nationally to be  part of their Crowdfunder project. Furthermore, if we reach 30% of our target  then the RFU will donate £750 to the cause. However, if we do not reach our target you all get your money back!! So please dig deep to help transform your club!

The club has spent the last two years completely transforming the grounds and areas surrounding the club house. These projects have included the installation of solar panels, the clearing of a tree line, extended/resurfaced car parking area, creation of a dedicated entrance and the much loved Ventnor RFC tree sculpture!

The majority of this work has been completed through good will and sponsorship from local businesses. However, it is now time to move onto the next stage of the project and work on the club house itself. This will be divided into two phases, external and internal.

The Crowdfunder project will aim to concentrate on the exterior of the club house with the plan of replacing soffits, fascias and guttering whilst also upgrading the lighting. This will not only make the clubhouse look more appealing but will also make the outside area more usable for functions and events. Furthermore, the upgraded lighting will aid winter training during the long cold nights!

Once the exterior has been refreshed we can then move onto the final phase where we will look to install new flooring in the bar area and refurbish the changing areas including the showers and toilets.
