We aim to build practice nets at the cricket ground. This will be available to all club members and all village residents.

Crawley Crows Cricket Club is a friendly village cricket club which welcomes players of all abilities - and none!  We play friendly matches against other local villages, and teams like the staff from Winchester Hospital.

We have some good players, some average ones and some terrible ones.   But people can only get better by practicing.  Due to Coronavirus we have been unable to practice indoors this winter, so we aim to build a practice net at the ground.  This will comprised an artificial "astroturf-style" surface, with a surrounding net.

This project has the support of Crawley Parish Council.

We will build it to the specification provided by the ECB (England & Wales Cricket Board), our sport's governing body.  A key aspect of this specification is safety; the surrounding net will be long enough to significantly reduce the number of balls which escape the netting, and narrow the zone into which they travel.
