New stretch target

We will use any extra money to cover the money we have already needed to pay to protect the people we care for and our amazing Front Line team.

As the Covid-19 virus spreads we are experiencing increased pressure and challenges in providing the support needed for the children and adults under our care.

We support one of the most vulnerable groups with learning and additional disabilities and their families in our community and we need your help.

With your vital help we are raising £7,000 to provide front line staff with key equipment needed to maintain an effective response to this crisis.

If communities pull together and help each other we can get through the very real challenges we are facing. For the families and individuals we support, this is a distressing time - as it is for most people.

The people we support will be the most effected by the Covid-19 virus as many suffer additional medical conditions alongside a learning disability.  Many of our service users struggle with changes to their routine and for those who are at particular risk and are self-isolating, this has meant that their family members are currently unable to visit them in person, which is distressing for both the individuals and the families.

We are working hard to find alternative ways to support our service users and their families at this time. The need for the support and help our charity provides and an effective response to this situation is unprecedented. The impact on the services is huge and the costs increasing.

We are asking for donations to help us fund the vital equipment we need. This fund is a quick way to access the money without delay. The money will help people most at risk.

Here is how the money will support us:

  • Your donations will help buy:
    • £50 - A days worth of N95 masks for all our staff
    • £30 - A weeks worth of call charges for families to stay in touch
    • £20 - A week of cleaning products for a service
    • £10 - Supplies for a service to run activities for a day
  • Phones for Front Line staff to help families stay in contact with the people we care for = £1,600
  • Cleaning products for sterilising and deep cleaning = £144
  • UV C Cabinet to sterilise protective equipment = £1,000
  • Laptops for staff to work remotely and keep the services running = £2,000
  • Webcams to help families see and keep in touch with each other = £180
  • Total - £6,823
