Everyone around the world knows of the challenges and difficulties being faced by the awful pandemic hitting our nations.
The Government is making strides to support business to retain staff or helping people should they get into difficulties.
However, the people on the front line, Doctors & Nurses, dealing with the most severe cases are facing different kinds of challenges every day due to our underinvested NHS.
There are medical staff, support staff and a plethora of individuals working around the clock to care for the critically ill and fight this disease who do not have the right basic equipment such as face masks or gloves.
To top it all, today I watched the link below to hear about a nurse who has worked for 48 hours as a critical care nurse and on her way home stops at the shops to buy fruit, veg and basic essentials. She finds the shelves bare and unable to buy The food that will keep her fit and healthy and give her the energy to carry on caring for these people affected by this disease. These medics are risking their health day in day out to combat this virus to help us return to some sense of normality as quickly as possible. And one of these days, unfortunately we may be reliant on one of these medics to help us.
Please help me raise some funds so we can support our brave medics, working long hours with minimal food (or even time to buy food)
The money raised will be used to buy additional basic medical equipment so they don’t have to share masks or re-use surgical gloves. It will be used to create drop-in shops at hospitals for nurses & doctors to place their shopping lists at and for volunteers to buy their food for when they finish their shifts and take the smallest of pressures off them.
Please help me support these people who dedicate their lives to helping others.
