Aged 24 and pregnant, I launched a different version of the business to create a lifestyle that I could financially support myself and child whilst having the freedom to raise my son. As the business has grown over the years, I have seen new options to build the business through research and open conversations with clients. The huge motivating factor was that I was in an abusive relationship which left me broken and homeless with 2 children. As a result I was more determined than ever to create my vision where I learnt a lot of hard lessons some of which were costly. If you want to know more about my story feel free to contact me.
I am super proud of the team that have come onboard, the first 3 women I met through the women’s support group during a recovery tool kit programme:
- Anna Sorbie – Founder and Lead Designer
- Sophie Tomlinson – Marketing & PR
- Tanya Bascombe –PR and show presentations
- Jane - Creative writing
- Marianne Dixon – Accountant
- Phil Guest – Web Developer
- Ian Wightman – jewellery chain specialist
- Justin Behrens – jewellery production
- Ray -Hair extensions supplier
To provide hair and make up styling services along with complimenting hair accessories, jewellery collections and hair extensions bring the whole couture look through offering incentivising packages to make the clients life easier.
To offer stockists the Anna Sorbie products in order to get targeted brand awareness where brides will be.
To drive awareness of the brand, service and products
To provide the bride a high level of service and products under one umbrella bringing in the company multiple streams of income per booking.
How to achieve the vision
As the business becomes profitable, we will give a % of our profits to support women’s aid. In addition, Anna and the 3 members of the team are currently ambassadors for the charity. Going forward Anna will be educating herself in the recovery toolkit as she has witnessed women in different walks of life experiencing what she has been through. If you would like more information on the Recovery Toolkit please contact us.
We are going to use the money to get the jewellery lines produced on mass in order to meet the demands of the stockists. In addition, funding to purchase the hair extensions for stock. In addition, investment into brand awareness through marketing and trade & consumer shows will be focus point. We have a marketing plan if you would like to see this, so we have a clear strategy going forward.
We have put packages together of services and products for wedding venues to promote and sell directly to clients. In addition, the team of handpicked hair stylists and make up artists will work as sales representation directly.
