The Parents and Friends Association (PFA) of Cossington Church of England Primary School is a registered charity, run by parents of the school who volunteer many hours to enhance the children's school experience.
The PFA would like to support the school in creating a Peace Garden for the children at Cossington Church of England Primary School to spend time in quiet and reflection.
As part of a school initiative to become mindful, this space will become a focal point for the school community to resolve conflicts, seek spiritual respite and boost mental well-being. We wish to equip the school with funds to create a retreat away from the busy day to day business of school life and playtime games.
We want the children to enjoy the space as a retreat and safe space to recharge and renew. We feel the community should support this project as mental well-being for our children is incredibly important and the investment in this space will undoubtedly support many generations of children from within the community. We would like the funding to boost our fundraising work to buy seating for the garden where the children can sit and enjoy the beauty of the Peace garden and spend time in stillness and comfort.
This funding will be used assist with the design and landscaping of the peace garden and will be used to buy beautiful wooden benches and plants to make a comfortable space for children to sit and enjoy the Peace Garden and its holistic benefits.
