Who are we?
The positivity centre began in 2015 when Paul and Cecile became aware that the business space under their home, that was originally a garden machinery shop, became available and they saw the opportunity to create a healing space for a wide range of therapies under one roof.
So far they have invested a significant amount to create the space that exists today, and before coronavirus the business, like many, the business was just starting to gain momentum after much effort to grow and expand their business horizons.
What is the business?
The Positivity Centre has a large yoga / dance space to hire for your events, workshop, ceremonies and Home-schooling education, there are 2 therapy rooms for hire or to receive sound therapy, Shirodhara, Ceremonies, Acroyoga, Massage, and a loft conversion, nearly finished that will expand the spaces to rent, more treatments to be listed when we get back to an even playing field very soon.
When pandemic hit, the centre had to close doors for a while on the WHOLE business, this meant that the 20+ yoga instructors who hired space to host their classes, all came to and end.
The therapies listed above plus the Cafe and Crystal shop all had to close and this was a huge shock to business and both the owners.
We have gone from a fully booked functioning centre and shop, to a centre that is now back to square one, as many of our instructors have gone online to host sessions, so we are rethinking our options.
Since the slow re opening of the shops and business affected by coronavirus, gaining momentum again has been a challenge, and this is what brings this crowdfunder page.
What we are asking for?
We must pay funds to the landlord that has accrued since the closing of the business this is currently at £5000.
We want to repair and upgrade a few areas, including our outside spaces and loft conversion £1500.
We would like to invest in our digital & physical marketing as well as social platforms so we can reach a wider audience and get the flow of business going again.
We are asking for financial donations primarily, as the rent and business charges are our biggest concern, however if you feel you want to get involved and volunteer your service or skill to help us in any way, we would be open to discuss these as options.
There is a potential for us to acquire the land here but for this we would need investment of 2 million, a long shot, but a great dream, as we could host more therapies, events, festivals, markets and more, franchising the business would also be an option, an incredible investment opportunity for the right investor.
The long-term plan for this business is quite something, and the potential for the dream to become a reality is easily achievable.
Paul and Cecile have a great network of friends who are all willing to help get this centre off the ground in any way we can, we are just waiting on the investment to get this amazing centre of the ground.
Moving forward, post pandemic, we know that the need for healing and therapeutic care, is likely to be in greater need. Paul has been involved in the healing arts for 10+ years, and Cecile is a wonderful host and gifted Shirodhara practitioner.
The menu of healing modalities and variants will continue to grow and expand over the next decade, we intend that our centre, will be one of the front runners in the healing arts and natural healing.
We are big on community, openness and creating a safe, happy, comforting, inspiration space for people of all ages to come and explore.
Our newest venture is hosting space for home schooling where children can come and socialize with other children in similar age groups and this is becoming very popular, which is a great addition to our services.
Thank you for taking your time today to read through our story, we invite you to our centre to have a look around or for treatment with us a day sometime soon.
If you feel aligned to share this within your network, we are so grateful to you for your support, as this will increase our chances of reaching our total figure required.
