Cornwall Climate Care update

Hello there

With just 12 days of fundraising left to go on the Cornwall Climate Care Crowdfunder, we wanted to send you an update on how it's all gone so far and to thank you once again for all your pledges, both big and small, which now total almost £13,000 - making it feel like our all-or-nothing target really could be within reach!

On Monday this week we were able to hold our first ever LIVE film screening, at Kingsand Community Hall. Even with masks on and limited numbers, it was fantastic to finally be able to have an ‘in person’ screening and Q&A, getting real live audience feedback, and this event also raised an incredible £724 to go towards our tally!

Hopefully this will be the start of us being able to do what we had always intended - to take our films out to communities and schools all around Cornwall and beyond, and talk with local people about the impacts of the climate emergency here – and what we can do about it.

We've also been very lucky to receive £4,000 from Cornwall Council's Carbon Neutral Cornwall Fund and £250 from the Creative Plymouth iMayflower Fund, as well as numerous donations from various businesses and organisations, plus lots of wonderful gifts and experiences also donated for us to offer as rewards for pledges.

In the meantime we've also been very busy in the background preparing for various activities taking place during the G7 conference in just over a week (more on that later) as well as editing Plenty More Fish?, our second documentary which we will be releasing in late June. No rest for the wicked!

Thanks once again for all your support and please do keep pledging and sharing with friends and family to help us get to our target by the deadline. Remember it's all or nothing, so if we don't get to at least £17,000 by June 15 we won't get anything at all!

With all best wishes

Claire and Bryony
